The new Bridge City Elementary School construction project is progressing very well. The initial phase of construction, site preparation, is nearing completion. The second phase, foundation work, should commence as soon as the second week of April. This is very exciting for our district. We expect to see substantial foundation work completed before the end of this school year.

 

The 125,000 square foot elementary school is expected to be completed some time in late Spring of 2011. Students will not attend the new Bridge City Elementary facility until August of 2011.

 

Bridge City Elementary will be a true gem for our community. This state of the art learning facility, serving grades Pre-K through 2nd grade, includes large classrooms, a full size gymnasium, fully functional library center complete with story telling area and two computer labs, and cutting edge interactive technologies in every classroom.
