Band Earns UIL Superior Award
Saturday, October 15 was a very important day for Texas Marching Bands and Bridge City, Texas was represented in a BIG way by the Cardinal Band from Bridge City High School. For the second year in a row, the Bridge City High School Band has been awarded a Superior rating at the UIL Marching Contest which was hosted at Port-Neches Groves High School.
The Bridge City Band was one of only 4 bands out of 36 schools represented that received 1st division ratings from all of the judges on the panel. In addition, our Cardinal Band was the only 3A band in Region 10 to boast the highest ratings given on contest day.
The band students from Bridge City and other high schools around the state of Texas have endured record breaking heat since late July while working toward the UIL competition which is the culmination of their efforts.
Students from the Cardinal Band represent the “Best of the Best” that Bridge City has to offer. These students are multi-talented, hard-working young men and women and are involved in many activities on the Bridge City High School Campus.
