BC Competes at Nederland Winter Academic Meet
Bridge City High School competed at the Nederland Bulldog Winter Academic Meet on January 22, 2011. The following are the results from this contest: Number Sense- Bryson Banks placed 3rd. The Number Sense team of Luke Placette, Dany Noonan, Kevin Nguyen, and Bryson Banks placed 2nd. In Mathematics, Bryson Banks took 2nd place. The Mathematics team of Bryson Banks, Luke Placette, and Kevin Nguyen placed 2nd. In Calculator Applications, Kevin Nguyen placed 3rd. The Calculator Applications team of Kevin Nguyen, Bryson Banks, Luke Placette, and Dany Noonan took the 1st place award.
In the Computer Science contest, Bryson Banks took 1st place. The sponsor for these events is Daniel Auchenbach.
In Literary Criticism, Jordan Smith, Jessica Bean, Sam Placette, and John Ellis took 1st place team. Individual awards in Literary Criticism were as follows: Jordan Smith -1st place, Jessica Bean-2nd place, Sam Placette-3rd place, John Ellis- 4th place. In Ready Writing, Jordan Smith placed 1st and Sam Placette placed 6th. The sponsor for these events is Diane Grooters.
In CX Debate, Jake Dionne and Cody Banken took 1st place. Jacob Worthington and Jason Broussard took 3rd place. The sponsor for CX Debate is Debbie Miller.
In Current Events and Issues, Joshua Scales placed 4th. In Social Studies, Kinsey Arnaud placed 2nd, James Ellis placed 4th, and Jennifer Tran placed 5th. The Social Studies team of Kinsey Arnaud, James Ellis, and Jennifer Tran took 2nd place. The sponsor for these events is Don Miller.
