Band
Beginning Band is composed of mostly sixth grade students who want to learn how to play an instrument. During this year of instruction, beginning students learn the basics of playing a musical instrument and how to read music and count basic rhythms. This group performs two concerts throughout the school year--a Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert.
The Bridge City Middle School Symphonic Band is composed of 7th and 8th grade students who have gone through beginning band and want to continue on their instrument. This band not only performs formal concerts, but also plays at Middle School football games and pep rallies. Students in this band also have the opportunity to participate in All-Region Band Auditions for the All-Region Band and in Solo and Ensemble Contest. In the spring, this band participates in Concert and Sight-Reading Contest. Other performances include NJHS Induction and Civil War Reenactment.
