The Bridge City Middle School Cheerleaders attended NCA Cheer Camp in Galveston this summer. At camp they learned cheers, chants, dances, stunts and leadership skills. Each night they had evaluations and were awarded 1 Excellent and 7 Superior Ribbons. The team won a trophy for the "Champion Chant Award", this is one of the top awards at camp. In addition to these awards they brought home a "Spirit Stick" and a bid to Nationals in December. The team also received the S.P.O.T. award which is presented for displaying excellent skills in spotting and stunt technique. All 12 of the cheerleaders were nominated for NCA - All American.
