ATTENDANCE & REGISTRAR

Hatton School hours are from 7:50 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.

State mandates that students must be in attendance ninety percent of the days the class is in session.  A student not in attendance the specified number of days because of excused or unexcused reasons is subject to retention in the grade.  Parents will be notified by letter after five absences and again at eight absences. The Campus Attendance Committee review absences and law enforcement officials will be notified when necessary.

Hatton office should be notified by telephone at 735-1600 on the morning of the student's absence.  When returning to school the child should petition for an excused absence in writing with the following information in the note:

• Student's name
• Teacher's name
• Reason for the absence
• Parent's signature
• Date of absence
