KINDERGARTEN EARLY REGISTRATION
2011-2012
The Bridge City Independent School District Kindergarten Registration for the 2011-2012 school year will be held until May 26th at the Hatton Elementary School Campus Office.
· All Kindergarten students will register at Hatton Elementary at this time.
The following guidelines apply to the KINDERGARTEN program:
· Students must be five years old (5) on or before September 1, 2011.
· A state certified birth certificate, complete immunization record, proof of residency in the Bridge City ISD, and the student’s social security card are required.
· Current students who will be five years old by September 1, 2011 and will complete the 2010-2011 school year in PPCD, Speech, or Pre-K are not required to register for Kindergarten. They are automatically promoted.
**Only complete packets will be accepted.**
School personnel are asking anyone knowing parents of prospective Kindergarten children to inform them of the registration dates. The office at Hatton Elementary School will be registering students from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. each day.

The April two week window is the only time for teacher request.
Note: Texas State Compulsory Attendance Law mandates student attendance in school once enrolled in Pre-K or Kindergarten. Parents are subject to legal action and penalties for non-compliance with this law.
