Dear Parents and Guardians,
We welcome your child to Hatton Elementary School for the 2010 - 2011 school year. School hours are 7:50 a.m. - 2:50 p.m. Students who arrive after 8:00 a.m. are considered tardy. A tardy slip must be issued by the Attendance Clerk in the office before entering the classroom. Excessive tardies will make disciplinary action necessary. Additionally, a student may be given a zero for work missed when not in class. Please remember drop off and pick up is on the side of the cafeteria.
Please report your child's absences before 9:00 a.m. You may call the front office at 735-1622 or 735-1600. It is required that a written excuse be sent to the teacher regarding the absence upon the day your child returns to school.
If it is necessary to pick up your child early for appointments during the school day, you must provide the office with a doctor/dentist note upon returning to school. Early dismissals should be used only when absolutely necessary.
We ask that you please make every effort to ensure that your child has everything necessary every morning for his/her school day. We understand that emergencies do arise, but we ask that if you must call the school for a transportation change please do so before 1:30 p.m. to ensure proper delivery of information. If you cannot make it home before the bus arrives, please call a neighbor or family member to meet your child. Transportation will not leave your child if the adult is not visible, and they will return back to school. Action will be taken if this becomes an on going issue.
Also, please ensure that your child's name is on all jackets, coats, and lunch kits to identify proper ownership.
For convenience each student has a lunch account and money can be sent daily, weekly, or monthly. If your child has forgotten his/her lunch kit and you will need to drop it off at school, please ensure that the child's name and teacher are on the lunch kit.
