The following information is required to be posted on the district's website per legislation passed by the 79th Texas Legislature in 2005 and the 81st Texas Legislature in 2009:
Bridge City Independent adopted a balanced budget for 2009-10 on August 31, 2009, the M & O tax rate of $1.04, the estimated tax rate including debt service rate of $0.25 is $1.29 which is an increase to the current tax rate of $0.08, 2009-10 salary increases, adjusted salary schedules, the longevity pay program and the continuation of the employee lunch program implemented in previous years The estimated revenue for the General Fund was $17,459,544, National School Breakfast & Lunch Program was $1,118,132 and Debt Service Fund was $1,454,508 for total estimated revenues of $20,740,298 creating a balanced budget for the 2009-2010 budget.
