The EDG number is on form TF1001 from DSHS (Department of Social and Health Services), located half way down the letter on the right side. It is not the 10 digit case number from the notice that an application is being processed.
Once you have submitted your application it will be reviewed by the district and a letter notifying you of the determination will be mailed to the address on the application OR you will receive an email if a valid email address is provided in this section. You may also return to this site to view the status of the application.
Choosing Foster indicates that a foster care agency or court has placed the child in your home. Foster children who live in the household may count as members of the the household and may be listed on your form. La casilla marcada “Adoptivo Temporal (Foster)” significa que una agencia de cuidado temporal o una corte ha colocado el niño en su hogar. Special Directions:

Enter all amounts in gross income only and in whole dollars. Gross income is the total income received before taxes or deductions. Many people think of income as the amount they take home and not the total, gross amount. Ensure that the income reported on this application has not been reduced by the amounts deducted for taxes, insurance premiums, or any other purpose. Foster children may be included as part of the household, but are not required to be included.


Enter a 0 in any fields where there is no income to report. Any income fields left empty or blank will be counted as zeroes. If you write 0 or leave any fields blank, you are certifying (promising) that there is no income to report. If local officials have known or available information that the household income was reported incorrectly, the application will be verified for cause.


The Adult Income Information below provides additional information on the types of income that need to be reported.

All adults living in the household, including yourself, that share income and expenses, even if the adult is not related to anyone in the household and does not receive any income. Do NOT include adults that are not supported by the household’s income and do not contribute income to the household. DO NOT INCLUDE INCOME FOR ADULTS IN THESE TOTALS. ENTERING ADULT INCOME IN THE CHILDREN INCOME FIELDS WILL DOUBLE THE INCOME REPORTED ON THE APPLICATION. ADULT HOUSEHOLD INCOME IS RECORDED IN THE NEXT SECTION.

It is unlikely that an application will need to be suspended but if data has been submitted that is obviously not legitimate information then that application may be suspended to prevent processing in Systems Design. To suspend an application click the Suspend button on the review application screen.


The next waiting application to be processed will be presented and the suspended application will appear in the Suspended Applications bar on the Overview screen.


Suspended applications may be viewed by clicking the Suspended Applications bar and returned to the processing queue by clicking Save next to the suspended application.
